Thank you for visiting my Website. I appreciate your interest in learning more about me and the projects that I am working on and I trust that you will find this site helpful in answering some of your questions. As you might imagine, I cannot answer all of the email that I receive, but I try to read through most of them and answer some along the way. I have been very busy over the past year working on a new company that I have founded with my husband, John. John and I are excited to tell you about our new company - Esther.  Esther is a unique skin care experience that empowers you to build your own business and inspires you to pursue the life of your dreams. My personal mission is centered upon helping women create a healthy balance between their spiritual and physical beauty. Generations of women have been led to believe that the secret to beauty begins in a cream filled jar-nothing could be farther from the truth. The secret to enduring beauty and to creating a beautiful life begins deep within your spirit and is reflected by the products that you use to care for your body. I know that many you are interested to learn more about my experiences since my cochlear implant surgery that was performed at Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore. I am pleased to report that I continue to do very well and that I am hearing many new sounds that I have never heard before. I am sometimes overwhelmed by all of the new stimulation that my brain is trying to process, but I keep looking to the horizon and remain focused on the long-term potential of this amazing technology. While I have a cochlear implant in my right ear, I want you to know that I continue to depend on the hearing aid that I wear on my left ear. Interestingly, there are some sounds that I do not hear well with my cochlear implant that I hear well with my hearing aid. The same thing is also true of my implant. There are sounds that I hear very well with the implant that I do not hear well with the hearing aid. One thing is certain, with the combination of both devices working together I hear much better than I did before as is evidenced by my speech recognition testing. Most importantly, I want to thank you for your prayers, your kind thoughts and your interest.
